Made In Bermondsey Etching Event May 2021 FB event

Be part of Bermondsey’s history. Etch a tin disc for the new clock tower

Join us for a series of workshops on Saturdays from 10th April to 22nd May 2021 and etch your own design on the tin discs that will form the roof of a new iconic clock tower in The Blue. The tower will be the centrepiece for Market Place, the pedestrianised square home to The Blue Market and Make It Blue Market, which is getting a complete makeover in 2021.

The new clock tower will be built as part of a regeneration programme for the area and everyone is invited to be part of history by contributing with their designs.

  • This event is free and no booking is required.
  • Social distancing measures will be in place.

Following the public consultation conducted from July to October 2019, the design team appointed to deliver the Made in Bermondsey regeneration project, Hayatsu Architects and Assemble, have been working closely with the community client team to finalise the plans in line with the consultation findings.
