As an organisation run and led by local business owners, our first priority is serving our fellow levy paying businesses by providing beneficial services.
We also represent our businesses through engagement and networking with a wide range of local stakeholders, private and public sector business support agencies, neighbouring BIDs and Southwark Council. We are here to help you in any way we can.
Blue Bermondsey BID are working in partnership with London Business Partnership (LBP) to support our businesses. LBP will provide a range of FREE commercial property advice services funded under the UK Shared Prosperity Funds programme.
Therefore, if you are looking for or have a commercial premises and are struggling with issues, we offer support and guidance by experts in this field for FREE, In-person and/or online (via Zoom or Googlemeet). The advice includes but not limited to:

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this wide range of free support, you need to meet the following:
You are based or currently trading in London
You have 250 employees or less (including yourself)
Your current turnover is under £44m
Together with our community partner: Big Local Works, we were granted the operating licence by Southwark Council for the management of the Blue Market. This is a first for all involved and we are working hard to reinvent the economic and cultural heart of Bermondsey for the 21st century focused on local enterprise and community activity
With funding from Southwark we have launched the Made in Bermondsey Market Barrow, a zero cost opportunity for BID businesses or enterprising individuals to sell products or showcase their business/venture to the local community and potential customers.

Emergency First Response – Primary and Secondary Care
Emergency First Response Primary Care teaches YOU how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. YOU can enrol on this free course focusing on primary care through a combination of knowledge and skill development combined with realistic scenario practice to make sure you have the confidence and ability to provide care when emergency situations arise.
Primary Care (CPR) skills taught on this course:
Scene Assessment – Barrier Use – Primary Assessment – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) , Serious Bleeding Management – Shock Management – Spinal Injury Management – Conscious and Unconscious Choking Management.
Recommended Skills:
– Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Use
Emergency First Response Secondary Care (first aid) covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening. Participants focus on secondary assessment and first aid through knowledge and skill development through realistic scenario practice.
Secondary Skills taught in this course:
Injury Assessment – Illness Assessment – Bandaging – Splinting for Dislocations and Fractures
The course lasts for approximately 6-8 hours and can be done in two sessions.
Each participant will receive an illustrated manual (either physical or e-learning) for their chosen course and will participate in independent study at home, prior to the practical classroom sessions. This allows more time for practical sessions in the classroom.
The manuals will be for the participant to keep for future reference and revision.
Upon successful completion of the course, participant will receive a physical and online certification for the course they have participated in. Certification is valid for 2 years.

That’s why we have enlisted the enigmatic Bicycle Ninja to provide free maintenance and bike safety checks. You can also get a Free bike register kit, and your bike is marked bike and stolen, the Police have a better chance of getting it back for you.
The Ninja can be found tinkering away in the car park of the Biscuit Factory business complex on: The 2nd and last Tuesday of each month, between 10am and 2pm.
