Do you have a responsible business approach in your business? Maybe you offer volunteering days and are trying to improve diversity in your workplace, but you want to develop these activities into a strategy? Or maybe you haven’t thought about making responsible business part of the way you work yet?

Good news! Heart of the City has been supporting SMEs in London to get started with responsible business for 21 years, and SMEs based in Camden, Hackney, Islington, Lambeth and Southwark can apply for a funded place (worth up to £3,250) on its Foundations for Responsible Business programme.

The programme brings together SMEs to develop responsible business activities, making their business a force for good. Focusing on the areas of environment, people, community and overall approach, SMEs will learn from bigger businesses and peers through live workshops, webinars, online resources and insight sessions from responsible business experts.

SMEs doing this programme have seen some brilliant business benefits as a result: developing employees’ skills, winning new business, keeping great people in the team and attracting new ones, improving brand reputation and being part of a community of other SMEs who want to be a force for good.

Doing business responsibly is the only way to do business now. It’s not just about doing the right thing – it’s what people expect from companies. And Heart of the City knows that in a small business that might not have a dedicated responsible business team, it can feel difficult to make it a priority. But through the Foundations for Responsible Business programme, you’ll get practical guidance and do it all with others who are on the same journey as you. So, do business responsibly and sign up to Foundations for Responsible Business now.
