Ark Globe Academy secondary school to take over the Blue as volunteers
We would to invite you to an exciting event at the Blue Bermondsey this Friday 19th July 2019 from 10am in Market Place, SE16 3UQ. Local young people from Globe Academy secondary school will be taking over the Blue as volunteers.
Activities in the Blue Market
10am -2pm | Battle of Bermondsey mural design workshop
Battle of Bermondsey mural design workshop with Paul Butler, the last surviving artist from the famous Battle of Cable Street mural which has just been declared one of the top 100 most important historic places in England by Historic England.
11am – 2pm | Galleywall Nature Reserve
Young people from Globe Academy will be opening up Galleywall Nature Reserve for the enjoyment of local families.
12noon – 2pm | Youth Market Stalls
12 noon – 2pm: Young people from Globe Academy will be filling the Blue Market with their youth market stalls and providing amazing musical entertainment.
